MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS AND WELCOME LETTER
The California Room and Board Coalition (CRBC) serves as a quality oversight organization advocating for the rights and well-being of both housing providers and unhoused individuals living in independent…complexes. We are committed…continue, (however, this may still need to be shortened) of owners and operators of independent living homes, apartments or complexes committed to providing access to safe and affordable housing options as a viable solution to the crisis affecting low income and homeless individuals in our communities.
Coalition membership is subscription based $275 /month with a minimum 6 month commitment and demonstrates that you operate a home that is healthy, safe and ethically managed.
The California Room and Board Coalition © is a membership organization of quality, housing providers that agree to the following:
Advocacy
- The California Room and Board Coalition actively monitors political and legal issues that affect low income housing and homelessness in our communities. It acts to inform members and advocate on housing issues in collaboration with other coalitions throughout the state by actively participating in legislative and local group forums on behalf of its members.
- The California Room and Board Coalition supports independent living operators, tenants, and the community through free education classes and community events. RSVP required for all events and trainings.
Membership Standards and Credibility Statement
- Members do not operate a facility that provides 24-hour non-medical, recovery, or treatment services to adults without first obtaining a license from the Department of Community Care Licensing or the state of California Department of Health Care Services.
- Coalition member homes enjoy a positive reputation as quality housing providers. Members home are known to have met the minimum requirements set for membership.
- The quality of member homes is assured through scheduled and/or unannounced visits. Members, operators and staff sign a Code of Ethics governing conduct toward each other and their residents.
